I have some more Steampunk styles I am playing with, they are a touch quirky but they are fun!

I also made a purse for the first time, I have wanted to try it for quite sometime but just hadn't gotten to it until now.

Tomorrow is a torch day, and I am going to spend some quality time with my wacky side and play with my Steampunk designs.

I have been doing these eye beads for awhile now, but never get tired of making them! They are so fun and quirky! I got some steam punk gears in the mail today so tomorrow's torch session will be a continuation of the Steampunk masks and dolls...I should have more to show soon. For now I'll leave you with a little eye candy...quite literally, and some kisses. LOL!

I had the wonderful surprise of being featured in three treasuries today when I checked in! I was absolutely flattered when I was included in this one because, there are so many powerhouse talented lampworkers in it!

I just finished up a custom order for my unique split print tiger/leopard beads! These beads are the reason I started handpainted design for my beads. I love animal prints, but somehow in glass they had alot of shine, but not the sparkle or sheen that I love so much about a great animal print. I am also able to add greater detail in the spots and stripes using this technique!

I have been admiring alot of beads done with murrini lately! Some look like they are complex flowers and even look almost like real ones. I have done a few very simple murrini over the years, but I think I might be ready to try some more complex types soon. Spring is on the way...and soon beautiful bright blooms will be everywhere! Here is an example of simple murini beads I have done. I would love to show you some of the picutes I have been looking at, but alas they are not mine to share.

A browse through this site is like candy for the soul if you are a beadlover!!! Grab a cup of coffee, tea , or a soda and prepare to spend a few hours in beadheaven. :)
This one is a little more out there, it mimics a trunk inspired Steampunk mask. I also used fine silver mesh to give detail. I used Double Helix Triton Glass for the entire mask, when reduced alone it creates an oilslick effect, when reduced and encased it creates a mirrored effect which I used for the other goggle lense. This one is named Solomon Blackwell.
I have been very intrigued by Steampunk style artwork lately! So I have started to come up with some pieces of my own. These are bracelet or necklace beads done in lampwork glass.

This one is a classic Steampunk antique gas mask style. I used fine silver mesh encased beneath goggles of crystal clear Reichenbach glass. It has accents of triton silver glass to mimic metal rivets and frames. I used copper caps to compliment the Spanish leather look, and sterling lined to it ground it with the accents. This one I named Van Hubble.

Hi All!

This is my first blog, so I am still finding my way around...and trying to figure out how to add pictures...connect to old friends, make new friends.
